You can now use a debit card, or the debit function of a combo card, that you set up in Google Wallet to make purchases online quickly and securely with Google Pay.
Important: The info in this article is for people in Brazil only.
To pay online with Google Wallet using your debit card, or the debit function of a combo card, you must:
- Set up a supported card in Google Wallet.
- Shop with a supported online merchant that has a "Google Pay" or "Buy with Google Pay" button at checkout.
Set up your card in Google Wallet
- Open or download the Google Wallet app .
- To use Google Wallet, add your card.
Confirm that your card is set up
- Open the Google Wallet app.
- At the top, tap your card. If you have more than one card, you may need to swipe to find it.
- Above your card, find the Contactless Payment icon .
Tip: If the Contactless Payment icon doesn’t appear, you can’t use that card for online debit payments until you complete the setup.

Tip: To pay with a debit card, choose the "Debit" card type in the forms of payment list.
Fix problems
Can’t select card
If you don’t find your debit or credit card in the list of available forms of payment, you must set up a supported card in Google Wallet.
Transaction failed
- Confirm that you set up a compatible card in Google Wallet.
- Confirm that you are buying from a supported merchant.
