The Google payments centre is a single location where you can manage the ways in which you pay for or get paid through Google products and services. You can use the payment info stored in the payments centre to pay for other Google products like Play digital content, Drive storage space or hardware on Google Store.
How it works
Important: For some business products, like Google Ads, you may find that Account type = 'Organisation' instead of 'Business'.
Payments centre helps you to manage your online payments in many ways, including but not limited to:
- Adding and managing payment methods, including credit cards and bank accounts, to use across a wide range of Google products.
- Managing and cancelling ongoing personal and business subscriptions.
- Finding your history of transactions with Google.
- Changing your billing address.
- Adding a bank account to get merchant payouts from Google.
- Submiting required tax info and forms.
- Managing your public merchant profile.
- Setting up, finding and managing sales tax rates.
- Finding sales and payout reports.
- Resolving chargebacks.
- Tracking and getting payments directly to a bank account.
Merchants use their payments profile to get payments from Google ('merchant payouts'), manage orders or track sales. These merchants include:
- Android app developers who monetise their apps in Google Play
- Chrome Web Store developers
How we protect your personal info
Google is committed to preserving the security of your info. Our highest priority is to let customers and businesses make more secure transactions with merchants and us.
- We encrypt payment transactions with industry-standard secure socket layer (SSL) technology.
- We store your bank account details and credit card info in a single location on Google's secure servers. These details are only accessed when needed to complete transactions.
- We won't share your info with anyone, except under the limited circumstances in our Privacy Policy.
Learn more about payments profiles
Your payments profile stores your payment info in one place so that you can make purchases across Google products. You can get merchant payouts if you sell apps and extensions through Google Play and Chrome Web Store. It's a collection of ways to pay, subscriptions, transaction histories and billing info that's tied to your Google Account.
Your payments profile is usually created:
- If you're using payments centre as an individual or a business: automatically the first time that you buy something from Google or sign up for a paid Google service
- If you're using payments centre as a merchant selling through Google Play or Chrome Web Store: when you're ready to start monetising your apps, games or extensions

Why can't I access the Google payments centre
If you go to the Google payments centre and don't find options to manage your payments, the reasons could be that:
- You've never bought anything from Google: your payments profile is created the first time that you buy something from Google or sign up for a Google service that pays you.
- You have a special account type: special account types for children and organisations don't directly use the payments centre or have their own payments profiles. These accounts are managed by other user accounts, typically a parent or one or more representatives of the organisation. If you need help to change your profile info, contact the administrator of the account.
