Get suggestions to share with your contacts

Find suggestions to add photos to a shared album

If you receive a shared album, you may find suggestions to add photos to that album based on information like time the photos were taken, location, or faces in the photos. You’ll only find suggestions based on faces if you have Face Groups enabled. To check suggestions to add to a shared album:

  1. On your computer, open photos.google.com.
  2. On the left, click Collections and then Albums.
    • To find the albums you want, switch between “All,” “Shared with me,” and “My albums.”
  3. Click on the album.
    • You may find a prompt to add photos to the album if any relevant photos have been detected.
  4. To review and add the suggested items, click Review.
  5. To dismiss the suggestion, click No thanks.

Find skipped suggestions & delete or review them

If you delete a skipped suggestion, you’ll remove all info about it, including whether you’ve skipped it before. You may find a similar card later.

  1. On your computer, open photos.google.com.
  2. At the top, click Settings Settings.
  3. Under "Suggestions," scroll to "Skipped suggestions."
  4. Click View and then Review or Delete.

Turn off notifications

When you take new photos, you may get a notification to share these photos.

  1. On your computer, open photos.google.com.
  2. At the top, click Settings Settings.
  3. Under "Sharing," turn off sharing suggestion notifications.
