Control who can use your Pixelbook

If your account is designated as the owner of your Pixelbook, you can control who can sign in.

Let anyone sign into your device

  1. Sign into your device with the owner account.
  2. In the bottom right, select the time to open the status area.
  3. Select Settings Settings
  4. In the people section, select Manage other people.
  5. Turn off Restrict sign-in to the following users.

Then you can also:

  • Add a permanent user to your device.
  • Let a friend use your device without signing in.

Let only certain people sign into your device

  1. Sign into the device with the owner account.
  2. In the bottom right, select the time to open the status area.
  3. Select Settings Settings
  4. In the "People" section, select Manage other people.
  5. Turn on Restrict sign-in to the following users.
  6. You'll see a list of all the Google Accounts on your device. You can add or remove accounts from this list.

Turn off guest browsing

When guest browsing is turned off, users need to sign in with their Google Accounts to use your device.

Learn more about guest browsing:

  1. If you're signed in as a guest, sign out.
  2. Sign in to your device using the owner account.
  3. In the bottom right, select the time to open the status area.
  4. Select Settings Settings.
  5. In the "People" section, select Manage other people.
  6. Turn off Enable guest browsing.

Note: If you're using your device at work or school, you can't turn guest browsing on or off. For more help, contact your administrator.
