Google is offering a one-year repair program for Pixel 4 XLs purchased in the US, Singapore, Canada, Japan, and Taiwan, for certain power-related issues.
In Canada, if you’re eligible for this program, you may receive a free replacement or repair at our option for up to one year after your warranty expires.
What issues may be covered
The issues must be related to:
- Not able to turn on the phone
- The phone restarts or shuts down randomly without a manual restart or shutdown
- Charging with an adapter
- Wireless charging
- The phone’s battery draining significantly faster than earlier in its use

Repair your phone
Important: If your Pixel 4 XL has any damage that prevents Google from repairing it, like a cracked screen, the issue needs to be fixed before investigating the power-related issue. In some cases, there may be a fee to fix the damage.
To check if your Pixel 4 XL is eligible for repair, you can bring your device to to the nearest Communication Test Design (CTDI). If your phone isn't eligible for repair through the one-year extended repair program, then there may be a fee to repair your phone.
Tip: Before you bring in your phone or send for repair, back up your data to your Google Account by opening your phone's Settings app. Then tap System Backup Backup.
