You can change your battery’s settings to help get more power on your Pixel and get the most out of each charge.
Check your battery level
To check how much charge you have left and how long your battery will last, open your Settings app . Then, tap Battery.
If you want to check or change how an app uses the battery, tap Battery usage.
Adaptive charging
Preserve your battery’s lifespan with Adaptive Charging. When you turn this on, your Pixel will charge steadily during longer charging periods.
The built-in Adaptive Battery feature helps your battery last longer with machine learning to prioritize the apps you use the most. Learn more about Adaptive Battery and battery optimization.
Battery saver
When you’re low on battery, you can adjust settings or background settings with Battery Saver. To help save battery, some settings, like Dark theme, will turn on. Other actions, like background activity or “Hey Google,” will stop.
To turn on Battery Saver, swipe down from the top of your phone’s screen. Then, tap Battery Saver.
Tip: Depending on how you’ve organized your settings, you may need to swipe down twice and/or scroll to find Battery Saver.
Extreme battery saver
You can automatically limit which apps stay active or use just the important ones when you turn on Extreme Battery Saver. This setting can extend the all-day battery up to 72 hours.
- Open your Settings app .
- Tap Battery Battery Saver.
- Turn Extreme Battery Saver on.
To help your battery last longer, Extreme Battery Saver pauses non-essential apps and their notifications. To categorize apps as essential when Extreme Battery Saver is turned on, tap Settings.
When you use Extreme Battery Saver, it notifies you each time it turns on.
