Pixel Studio uses generative AI features to simplify creating unique and fun images on Pixel. You can make personal art and share it with friends and family. Pixel Studio requires downloading the Pixel AI image model. Learn more about Google's GenAI policies.
Important: Pixel Studio is currently only available on the Pixel 9 series in English in United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, India, Ireland, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Create text to image with AI art
Create an image
- Open the Pixel Studio app.
- Select layouts or tap Create.
- Type the text you want to create an image out of.
- For new versions, tap Regenerate

- To explore different styles, tap Styles

Return to a project
- Open the Pixel Studio app.
- From the home page, at the top left, tap My Projects
.
- Tap the image you want to edit.
- If it’s an image you created, you can change the prompt, add stickers, change the style of the image, add captions or remove objects.
Edit your photos
- Open the Pixel Studio app.
- From the home page, at the bottom, tap the image icon and select a photo from your camera roll.
- Add captions and stickers or tap, circle, or brush the parts of the image to create your own stickers or remove parts.
Image restrictions
Pixel Studio is working on the ability to create human images, along with the ability to edit existing images with people. Sometimes, Pixel Studio might misinterpret your prompt, thinking you want an image that includes a person, and won’t be able to create it. If that happens, reword the prompt to be more specific about the content you want to see, then try creating the image again.
Additionally, you will not be able to generate any images that violate Google’s Generative AI Prohibited Use Policy. Note that some images may be unintentionally blocked as we fine-tune our filters.
