If you still experience unusual battery drain after a few days, please let us know and we'll be happy to help.
Check that Adaptive Battery is on for your phone
If you keep Adaptive Battery on, apps that you use less often will run less while you're not using them. Your phone can learn how you use your apps over time. This can help save battery in ways that work best for you.
- Open your phone's Settings app.
- Tap Battery Battery Saver.
- Tap Adaptive Battery Expand More .
- Turn on Use Adaptive Battery if it's turned off.
Turn on battery optimization for each app
Important: If you turn off battery optimization for an app, that app can run more while you're not using it, even when Adaptive Battery is on. This can use more battery than needed.
- Open your phone's Settings app.
- Tap Apps See all apps.
- Tap on an app App Battery usage.
- Tap Allow background usage.
- Under "Allow background usage," tap Optimized.
Tip: Battery optimization isn’t available for some essential services.
