Your Pixel Slate comes with Google Docs, an app that lets you create documents, work on them in real time with other people, and store them online, all no additional cost.
Create a document
- In laptop mode: In the corner of your screen, click the Launcher Up arrow
In tablet mode: Go to your Home screen. To get there, tap the Launcher in the corner of your screen. - Select Google Docs
- This will open a new document that saves itself automatically as you work on it.
Later, to find your document, follow step 1 above, then select Google Drive
Open an existing document
- In laptop mode: In the corner of your screen, click the Launcher Up arrow .
In tablet mode: Go to your Home screen. To get there, tap the Launcher in the corner of your screen. - Select Google Drive
- Find the file you'd like to open, and double-click or tap it.
Tip: If you want to save a document as a Microsoft-formatted .docx file, go to File Download As, and select Microsoft Word (.docx).
