Personalized ads policy

Specifically, Google’s "Credit in personalized ads" policy has been expanded to cover "Consumer finance in personalized ads."

Disclosing data usage

The platforms program policies changed on 31 March 2014. The change means that the policy requirement to disclose data usage as a consequence of using Google products is no longer limited to uses for interest-based advertising. This change aligns the policy with a long-standing disclosure requirement in the DoubleClick Advertising Platform Agreement. The revised policy also provides an option for meeting the disclosure duty with respect to Google’s data usage by linking to a page on Google’s site.

Content policy

The change means that we are clarifying that Google's Platform Products must not be used in connection with content that is illegal, promotes illegal activity or infringes on the legal rights of others. We’ve updated the language to clarify that this relates to advertisements, the pages that display them, their landing pages, as well as pages that otherwise contain tags provided by Google’s Platform Products.
