Depending on your location and the address that you provide to Google, Google may be required to collect tax-related info from you. If you have to give your tax info to Google, you can do so from Google payments settings. Not everyone is required to provide tax info. If you're eligible for tax exemptions based on your status, you can provide your tax info to be exempt from taxes.
Providing tax info
Providing your tax info is optional. However, if you or your organization are eligible for tax exemptions, you may be required to provide the requested info.
- Sign in to the Google payments center.
- Under Settings, next to the country you’re providing tax info for, click the Edit icon and provide the tax info
