SAFETY INFORMATION
Volume
To prevent possible hearing damage or other hazards, do not use headphones at high volume levels for long periods of time.Shades
High protection against sunglare, filter category 3, polarized sunglass (ISO 12312-1).
Restrictions of use:
- Not for direct observation of the sun.
- Not for protection against artificial light sources, e.g., solaria.
- Not for use as eye protection against mechanical impact hazards.
- Not suitable for driving in twilight or at night.
- Use warm water or mild dish-soap together with soft cotton cloth to clean the shade.
Battery
This device contains a lithium–ion battery (nominal capacity 670 mAh). If it’s not handled properly, there’s a risk of explosion, fire and burns. What exactly is improper handling? Puncturing, incinerating, deforming, bending, modifying, attempting to insert foreign objects into the battery, shorting the contacts, trying to disassemble, or exposing the battery to water or high temperatures, among other things that are even more obvious.
Repair
Neither Glass nor any of its accessories contain any parts that you or a friend could service yourselves—repairs should only be made by an authorized technician. Unauthorized repairs or modifications could result in permanent damage to the equipment, and may affect your warranty coverage.
Radio Frequency
This device meets the U.S. Federal Communications Commission's (FCC) requirements for exposure to radio waves and is designed and manufactured not to exceed the FCC's emission limits for exposure to radiofrequency (RF) energy. The exposure standard for wireless devices employs a unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate, or SAR. The SAR limit set by the FCC is 1.6W/kg.
This device complies with the European Union RF exposure limit set forth for an uncontrolled environment and is safe for intended operation as described in this manual.

Earbuds designed by Google, Inc. and assembled in China.
Shades, shields, and titanium frames designed by Google, Inc. and assembled in Japan. Titanium frames are imported into the EU by its authorised representative, Google Commerce Limited.

Note on interference in a residential installation
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
- Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna.
- Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver.
- Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected.
- Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help.
Glass complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) Glass may not cause harmful interference, and (2) Glass must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Changes or modifications to Glass without the manufacturer’s express approval may void the user’s authority to operate.

Declaration of Conformity
Products bearing the CE marking comply with the EU directives identified on the applicable Declaration of Conformity.

E-Waste
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive requires that all Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE), including Glass and the Earbud, must be marked with the symbol of the crossed–out wheeled bin:
This symbol means that the equipment must not be disposed of as unsorted municipal waste. Disposing of WEEE together with normal waste may pose a risk to the environment and to human health, due to certain substances used in that equipment. Under the WEEE Directive, each EU Member State is responsible for achieving a high level of collection of WEEE for treatment, recovery and environmentally sound disposal.
We are committed to providing our customers with information about the chemical substances in our products as needed to comply with legal requirements such as REACH (Regulation EC No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and the Council).
