The Active setting enables you to determine which rows in your feed are eligible to be served by turning the rows on or off.
- To use the Active setting in a feed, add a column to the feed (typically named "Active").
- Enter a value for each cell in the "Active" column with either TRUE or FALSE. When a cell in the Active column contains TRUE, the corresponding row is eligible to be served (in other words, the row is turned on). When a cell in the Active column contains FALSE, the corresponding row is not eligible to be served (in other words, the row is turned off).
If all cells in the Active column contain FALSE, no rows can be served, and the feed cannot be transformed. Before you upload or transform your feed, make sure at least one row in the Active column contains TRUE.
After uploading your feed to Studio in Step 2: Manage Data of the Dynamic workflow, select the name of the column designated as the Active column in the Active drop-down.
