Step 1: Link your Merchant Center and Google Ads accounts

If you are using a Performance Max Retail campaign, you will need to link your Google Merchant Center and Google Ads accounts.

If you are not using a Performance Max Retail campaign, skip to step 2, below.

By linking your Google Ads and Google Merchant Center accounts, you'll allow your product data to flow from Merchant Center to Google Ads for use in advertising campaigns. Advertisers with a Merchant Center feed don't need to supply any creative assets to launch a Performance Max campaign. However, Google Ads recommends you provide creative assets to allow your campaign to serve maximally across surfaces and have optimal performance. Ads may be auto-generated on your behalf.
