Templates can associate existing labels with the campaigns, ad groups, ads, and keywords that those templates generate. For further information about labels and how they work, see About ad labels.
Associate labels
First, you need to create the labels you want to associate. Create the labels in the sub-manager account that will own the templates.
When you configure the settings for a template, you can identify the labels you want the template to associate with the campaigns, ad groups, ads, and keywords it generates.
You can enter static text values, functions, or feed columns to identify labels.
In the "Label associations" panel in template settings, identify the label(s) you want:
- Click Add label.
- In the “Enter a static or dynamic value” field, enter the static text, function, or feed column you need to identify the label you want to associate.
- The label you identify is associated when the new Search Ads 360 evaluates the template and generates the campaigns, ad groups, ads, or keywords.
- If you want to add additional labels, click Add label.

Example Airways operates two brands. Albatross Flights sells transatlantic tickets between the US and European destinations, while Golden Eagle Flights markets route tickets within Europe.
The example feed table only contains information for one route for each brand to ease understanding.

Add example labels to the campaign template
- You advertise the "Albatross Flights" and the "Golden Eagle Flights" brands, so you create labels named "Albatross Flights" and "Golden Eagle Flights".
- In the template, you specify the brand, origin_country, and destination_country feed columns as the multiplier:
f:"brand" & f:"origin_country" & f:"destination_country"
The template generates one campaign for each unique combination of values found in these columns in the attached feed. -
In the campaign template, you add a label that specifies the "brand" feed column. The formula for the brand label is
f:"brand"
.
When the new Search Ads 360 generates campaigns, the following labels are attached to these campaigns, since they match the labels already present that you created in Step 1:
- Campaign named Albatross Flights USA France
- Labels
- Albatross Flights
- Labels
- Campaign named Golden Eagle Flights France UK
- Labels
- Golden Eagle Flights
