Agencies sometimes create a hierarchy of advertisers in the new Search Ads 360 and Campaign Manager 360 to reflect the way the agency organizes its advertising units. In this arrangement, the parent advertiser in Campaign Manager 360 defines a collection of Floodlight conversion actions, tags, and settings (called a "Floodlight configuration"), and all of the child advertisers inherit the configuration.
See if a configuration is shared
To see if your sub-manager account in the new Search Ads 360 shares its Floodlight configuration, sign into Campaign Manager 360 and view the Floodlight settings. Be sure to use a Google account that has been granted access to Campaign Manager 360.
Edit a shared configuration
You can't edit shared Floodlight configurations in a child sub-manager account in the new Search Ads 360 or a child advertiser in Campaign Manager 360. You must edit Floodlight settings in the parent sub-manager account in the new Search Ads 360 or parent Campaign Manager 360 advertiser.
If you want to edit Floodlight settings that can only be configured in the new Search Ads 360, you must create a sub-manager account in the new Search Ads 360 that's linked to a parent advertiser in Campaign Manager 360. You can then manage shared Floodlight configurations In this newly created sub-manager account.
Messages in the new Search Ads 360 UI
If you’re trying to manage Floodlight settings for a newly created sub-manager account in the new Search Ads 360, you may see the following message:
This sub-manager account shares a Floodlight configuration owned by another sub-manager. To make changes, contact the Floodlight configuration owner. Learn more about shared Floodlight configurations.
This means that another sub-manager account in the new Search Ads 360 is the parent of the Floodlight settings you are trying to manage.
- If this other sub-manager account isn't linked to a parent advertiser in Campaign Manager 360, you must manage conversion actions in the parent Campaign Manager 360 advertiser.
- If the other sub-manager account in the new Search Ads 360 is linked to a parent advertiser in Campaign Manager 360, you must edit the Floodlight settings in the other sub-manager account.
Any changes you make to the parent advertiser in Campaign Manager 360 or the other sub-manager account in the new Search Ads 360 are applied to the newly created sub-manager account.
