The Asset Library is a client account-level feature in Search Ads 360 that allows you to access all the media assets - like videos, images, and more - that you need to create an ad in one place. The Asset Library lets you quickly upload, manage, search, and select assets in client accounts while creating ads. You can even use the Asset Library’s video builder to create video ads from your assets.
In Search Ads 360, you can use the Asset Library in all your client accounts, including: Google Ads, Microsoft, Yahoo! JAPAN Ads, and Facebook.
How the asset library works
The asset library works as a gallery for all of the media assets that you’ll need to create an ad for your campaign. You can upload assets to use in your campaigns, create videos, search, filter, and select assets, and find out where your assets are being used.
In Search Ads 360, the Asset Library is unique to each client account, and it can only be managed at the client account level. The assets you use for one client account and its associated ads campaigns are not shared across other client accounts.
Get started with the Asset Library
Access the Asset library
The asset library can be accessed while selecting media when you’re creating an ad, or you can follow the steps below to access the asset library:
- Sign in to your Search Ads 360 experience.
- Navigate to a client account.
- Click the Tools and settings icon.
- Under “Shared Library,” click Asset library.
Upload assets
When you first access the Asset library, it will automatically populate with supported assets used in the client account’s creatives. Furthermore, any assets you upload when creating an ad are automatically added to the Asset library. You can also add additional assets to your Asset library by uploading them.
To add more assets to the Asset library:
- Sign in to your Search Ads 360 experience.
- Navigate to a client account.
- Click the Tools and settings icon.
- Under “Shared Library,” click Asset library.
- Click the plus button, and select File upload or Folder upload.
- Select the file or folder you’d like to upload
- Click Open.
Remove assets from the asset library
You can remove any assets you've uploaded to the asset library by following the steps below:
- Sign in to your Search Ads 360 experience.
- Navigate to a client account.
- Click the Tools and settings icon.
- Under “Shared Library,” click Asset library.
- On the asset, click More , then click Remove.
- Once you remove assets, you’ll have the immediate option to undo. After that, the assets are unrecoverable, and you’ll have to re-upload them, if necessary.
- You’ll no longer be able to view cropped versions of the assets you remove.
- Assets you remove from the asset library may still show in the following places:
- Assigned to an ad that is still serving. You’ll need to remove the assets from the assigned ad to stop it from serving.
- Reporting, especially if the removed assets were assigned to an ad that was serving.
- Google Ads API (removed assets will be hidden in Google Ads Editor, unless they’re assigned to an ad).
- To permanently remove any assets you’ve uploaded, contact support. Once assets are permanently removed, they can’t be recovered.
