Create a new Google Ads Performance Max campaign with brand exclusions

Applies to Google Ads only

To prevent your ads from serving on specific brands on Search and Shopping inventory in a new Google Ads Performance Max campaign, follow the steps below.

Instructions

  1. Sign in to your Search Ads 360 experience.
  2. Navigate to a Google Ads client account.
  3. In the page menu on the left, click Campaigns.
  4. Click the plus button , then select New campaign.
  5. Create a new Google Ads Performance Max campaign.
  6. Click the Tools and settings icon.
  7. Under “Shared Library”, click Brand lists.
  8. Select the brand lists you wish to use.
  9. Click Apply as exclusion.
  10. Select your newly created Google Ads Performance Max campaign.
  11. Click Apply.
  12. Complete the remaining campaign creation steps.
