The new Search Ads 360 can only communicate with some social media platforms through a Preferred Marketing Developer (PMD). For other types of social media platforms, using a PMD is optional, but the PMD may help to add tracking URLs and import social performance and engagement metrics in the new Search Ads 360.
If you specified a PMD when you created a social media account in the new Search Ads 360 but have switched to another supported PMD, follow these steps in the new Search Ads 360:
- Sign in to your Search Ads 360 experience.
- Navigate to a social media account.
- In the page menu, click Settings.
- Click Account linking to expand the section.
- In the Connect through a Preferred Marketing Developer (PMD) drop-down, select your new PMD.
- Click Save.
- If you're importing performance and engagement metrics, follow these steps to switch the import process over to the new PMD:
- Create a new sFTP endpoint unless you already have one set up for the new PMD. Each PMD needs its own sFTP endpoint.
- Use the PMD to schedule the delivery of performance and engagement metrics. Find instructions for your specific PMD.
