For campaigns that don’t use Google Ads auction-time bidding, you can let a budget or bid strategy set device, audience (remarketing), and location bid adjustments for you or you can choose to set them manually.
If you’ve been setting the bid adjustments, you can edit the bid or budget strategy so that it makes the adjustments.
Search Ads 360 bid and budget strategies can set bid adjustments in some of the supported client accounts.
Learn how to set the bid adjustment options in a budget bid strategy.
To edit a bid or budget strategy so that it sets bid adjustments for you:
- Sign in to your Search Ads 360 experience.
- Click the Tools and settings icon .
- From under the Shared Library list, click Bid strategies.
- On the “Portfolio bid strategies” page, click on the conversion-based bid strategy or a budget bid strategy that you want to edit.
- On the “Portfolio strategy report” page, click the expand icon on the “Settings” card.
- Click Intraday advanced options and you’ll be able to view “Bid adjustments” options. Note that these settings are only for campaigns that don’t use Google Ads auction-time bidding.
- If you aren’t able to view “Bid adjustment options”, make sure you’ve selected Target ROAS or Target CPA as a bid-strategy.
- Select one or all of the following options:
- Device
- Audience (Remarketing)
- Location
- Click Save.
After you make this change, it may take up to 24 hours for the bid or budget strategy to change bid adjustments.
To edit a bid or budget strategy so that it doesn’t set bid adjustments:
- Sign in to your Search Ads 360 experience.
- Click the Tools and settings icon .
- From under the Shared Library list, click Bid strategies.
- On the “Portfolio bid strategies” page, click on the conversion-based bid strategy or a budget bid strategy that you want to edit.
- On the “Portfolio strategy report” page, click the expand icon on the “Settings” card.
- Click Intraday advanced options and you’ll be able to view “Bid adjustments” options. Note that these settings are only for campaigns that don’t use Google Ads auction-time bidding.
- If you aren’t able to view “Bid adjustment options”, make sure you’ve selected Target ROAS or Target CPA as a bid-strategy.
- Clear the check box for any of the following options:
- Device
- Audience (Remarketing)
- Location
- Click Save.
The bid strategy no longer sets the selected bid adjustments. You can view the bid adjustment and manually change it.
