Manage Floodlight instructions

Edit a Floodlight instruction

When you edit a Floodlight instruction, the updated instruction will only be applied to data that arrives after the edit. Search Ads 360 does not recalculate data from earlier conversions. Once you save your edits, you cannot view or return to the previous version. Instead, you can edit the instruction again so that it uses the same settings as before.

Only an agency manager or advertiser manager can edit a Floodlight instruction.
  1. Navigate to an advertiser.

Steps for navigating to an advertiser
    1. Click the navigation bar to display navigation options.

    2. In the "Agency" list, click on the agency that contains the advertiser. You can search for an agency by name or scroll through the list.

    3. In the "Advertiser" list, click on the advertiser.

    4. Click Apply or press the Enter key.

Search Ads 360 displays the advertiser page, which contains data for all of the advertiser’s engine accounts.

  2. In the left navigation panel, click Advertiser settings.

Don't see Advertiser settings? Only Search Ads 360 agency managers or advertiser managers can see Advertiser settings in the left navigation panel.

  3. Click the Floodlight▼ tab and select Floodlight instructions.
The current Floodlight instructions for the advertiser appear.

  4. In the Floodlight instructions table, select the check box next to a Floodlight instruction.

  5. Click Edit in the toolbar above the Floodlight instructions table and select Edit details... from the dropdown.
The settings panel for the Floodlight instruction appears.

  6. Update the desired Floodlight instruction settings.
You can only change the settings for the current instruction type. To change the instruction type, you need to remove the instruction and create a new one.

  7. Click Save.
