When you set up a bulk edit or rule, it's possible that the change won't be applicable to all of the items you've selected. If this happens, Search Ads 360 tells you which types of items will be updated.
For example, if you make a bulk edit/update across different types of engine accounts, a change might not be applicable to the objects from certain engine accounts:
-
You select 10 campaigns: 5 Google Ads and 5 Microsoft Advertising.
-
Click Edit and then Change budget.
- You can select either Daily or Monthly next to Budget:
- If you select Daily, Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising campaigns both have daily budgets, so Search Ads 360 will apply the change to all 10 campaigns.
- If you select Monthly, only Microsoft Advertising has monthly campaign budgets, so Search Ads 360 will apply the change only to the 5 Microsoft Advertising campaigns.
Changes to excluded product groups
If a bulk edit or rule includes product groups that are excluded from bidding and you select a Change bid action, the result depends on the type of change action you choose. If you choose:
- Set to or Set to formula column: The product group will no longer be excluded from bidding. Instead, its bid will be set to the value you specify in the bulk edit or rule.
In the example below, a rule selects product groups. The "Change bid: Set to" rule action is applicable to all product groups in Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising shopping campaigns. Even those product groups that are excluded from bidding will be updated to specify a bid of $2.
- Increase by or Decrease by: These actions do not apply to product groups with excluded bidding, so excluded product groups will be ignored by the action.
In the example below, a rule selects product groups. The "Change bid: Increase by" rule action is only applicable to product groups that specify a bid. Product groups that are excluded from bidding will not be updated by this rule:
