Search Ads 360 provides an API that you can use to automate the upload of conversion data. For example, instead of using bulksheets to upload conversions, you can upload conversion data directly from an advertiser's computer system. To use the API, you’ll need to work with a computer programmer who understands REST or other standard programming languages.
Advertisers are prohibited from sending personally identifiable information using this service, as outlined by the Terms of Service for the API. Further, this API provides no ability to target advertising. The conversion data is used by advertisers to better manage and report on the amount they pay for advertising and the ROI they get from it.
How to use the Search Ads 360 API
- If you haven't already done so, set up Floodlight activities for tracking offline conversions.
- Activate the conversion API for your advertiser.
- Give the computer programmer writing the application that uses the conversion API access to a Search Ads 360 user account with the following permissions:
Advertiser user with edit permission for the advertisers the programmer will be working with,
or Agency user, which has access to all advertisers in the agency. - View the Search Ads 360 API documentation:
