Use a Google Store student discount (Japan only)

If you're a student, you may be eligible to get a promo code for the Google Store in Japan.

• Each student discount promo code can only be used once and is only valid for the stated time.
• You can only receive two codes per year. To receive a new code, you must verify your eligibility. Terms and Conditions apply.

Apply for a student discount

1. On the Google Store student page, select Buy with student discount.
2. Verify your student status.
   • Enter the required info on the SheerID form. Give your:
     • School’s full name
     • First and last name, as shown on school records
     • Date of birth
     • School or personal email address
   • If SheerID can verify your eligibility instantly, you’ll receive an email with a promo code that can be used on the Google Store.
   • If you're not verified at once, you get an email that tells you to sign in to verify student status or to give more proof. You can submit a photo of one of these records:
     • School ID card with expiry date
     • Class timetable
     • Transcript
   • Within 48 hours, you receive an email that shows your eligibility status.
3. At checkout, enter the promo code.
