If your payment method gets declined, you'll get an email with instructions to update your payment method and you can change your payment info within 7 days.
If you can't change your payment information
- Make sure the billing address matches the one on your credit card: Learn how to change your home or billing address.
- Check that your payment info is correct: Learn how to edit, reorder, or remove payment methods.
- Remove the payment method, then add it back: Remove the declined payment method and then add it back on payments.google.com.
- Try a new card: Try to change to a different card with the “Fix payment method” button.
- If none of the above work, contact your bank for more information.
