Pause tags

Pause tags

Use the pause function to temporarily disable a tag. This function is useful when you need to troubleshoot configurations, control timed campaigns, or other instances where you would like to temporarily put a tag on hold without the need to delete the tag or adjust triggers in your container configuration.

Note: You must save and publish tags that have been paused or unpaused for changes to take effect.

To pause a tag:

  1. Click on Tags, find the tag you wish to pause, and click on its name in the list to open it.
  2. Click more actionsMore and select Pause.
  3. Save and publish your changes.

When a tag is paused, it will be labeled with a pause icon: yellow circular pause icon

To unpause a tag:

  1. Click on Tags, find the tag you wish to unpause, and click on it's name in the list to open it.
  2. Click UNPAUSE, located below SAVE. Or click more actionsMore and select Unpause.
  3. Save and publish your changes.
