To make and receive Google Voice calls, use your built-in microphone and speakers or connect external audio devices, such as headsets. Change audio devices before or during a call. If you use a headset for incoming calls on your computer, you can also choose a second device to ring. Then you can hear calls even when you've taken off your headset.

Choose the device to use for calls
- On your computer, go to voice.google.com.
- At the top right, click Headset .
- Choose the setting you want to change.
Microphone
- Next to Microphone, click the Down arrow and select the microphone.
The list shows devices connected to your computer. - To test the microphone, start talking. The No audio changes to Audio and indicates the volume of sound produced.
Ringing
- Next to Ringing, click the Down arrow and select the device that you want to ring.
The list shows devices connected to your computer. - To test the ringing, click Test.
Speakers
- Next to Speakers, click the Down arrow and select the speakers.
The list shows devices connected to your computer. - To test the speakers, click Test.
