In supported countries or regions, you can use the Google Wallet app on your Fitbit smartwatch to make contactless payments where Google Pay is accepted.
To use Google Wallet on your Fitbit, you must:
- Have one of the Fitbit devices.
- Versa Special Edition
- Versa 2
- Versa 3
- Versa 4
- Sense
- Sense 2
- Charge 3 Special Edition
- Charge 4
- Charge 5
- Charge 6
- Fitbit Ace LTE. Learn how to set up tap to pay on your child's Fitbit Ace LTE.
- Be in a country or region where Google Wallet for Fitbit is supported.
- Add a supported debit or credit card.
Tips:
- PayPal on Google Wallet isn't supported on Fitbit smartwatches.

Where you can use Wallet for Fitbit
You can pay with Google Wallet for Fitbit wherever you find the contactless or Google Pay symbols. Find them on the payment terminal screen or on the cash register at checkout.

Set up Google Wallet on your Fitbit
- With your Fitbit device nearby, open the Fitbit app on your phone.
- Tap Today .
- Tap your profile picture your device image Google Wallet.
- Sign in to your Google Account.
- Set a 4-digit PIN for your Fitbit device to use with Google Wallet. A PIN is required to use Google Wallet.
Add a payment card
Important: Currently, some cards that are supported on Google Wallet with your Android phone may not be supported on Google Wallet for Fitbit. See a list of participating banks. For now, if you want to use a card that isn’t currently supported, you can still pay with your phone.
You can select cards that are in your Google Account, or add a new credit or debit card. If you add a card to your Fitbit device, you don't need your phone to pay. To add a card:
- With your Fitbit device nearby, open the Fitbit app on your phone.
- Tap Google Wallet New credit or debit card.
- Scan your card with your phone’s camera or enter the card details manually.
- Add your card’s 3-digit security code.
- Choose a method for your bank to verify your identity. You may have the option to have a code sent by text, email, phone call, or other methods.
- Enter the verification code.
Add more payment cards
- With your Fitbit device nearby, open the Fitbit app on your phone.
- Tap Google Wallet.
- Tap Add to Watch New credit or debit card.
- Scan your card with your phone’s camera or enter the card details manually.
- Add your card’s 3-digit security code.
- Choose a method for your bank to verify your identity. You may have the option to have a code sent by text, email, or phone call.
- Enter the verification code.
Tip: Currently, you can't add a discount, loyalty, or rewards card to Google Wallet on your watch.
Make a payment in a store
Pay with your default card
The first card that you add to Google Wallet is the default.
- If you haven't used your Fitbit device recently, you may have to unlock it.
- On your Fitbit device, open the Google Wallet app .
- Hold your watch over the contactless payment reader until you hear a sound or feel vibration.
- If you use a debit card:
- Tap Credit.
- You may have to enter your debit card PIN. Use the PIN that you set up with your bank, which may be different from your Fitbit PIN.
Pay with a non-default card
To use another card:
- On your Fitbit device, open the Google Wallet app .
- Swipe right to the card that you want to use. When you find "Hold to terminal," it's ready to use.
- Hold your watch against the contactless payment reader until you hear a sound or feel vibration.
- If you use a debit card:
- Tap Credit.
- You may have to enter your debit card PIN. Use the PIN that you set up with your bank, which may differ from your Fitbit PIN.
Manage your cards
Change your default card
- On your Fitbit device, open the Google Wallet app .
- Swipe to the card that you want to use as default.
- Tap the card Make default for tap to pay.
Remove a card
- On your Fitbit device, open the Google Wallet app .
- Swipe to the card that you want to remove.
- Tap the card.
- In the top right, tap More Remove payment card.
Find past purchases
- On your Fitbit device, open the Google Wallet app .
- Tap a card Activity.
- Swipe up to scroll through your transactions.You see your most recent transaction if your issuer provides the info.

If you can't use your card with Google Wallet, check the supported debit and credit cards.
If you have questions or feedback about your card, contact your bank.
Get a "Network error" when you add a card
Make sure your phone is nearby. Your phone and watch should have Bluetooth turned on and an internet connection, either cellular or Wi-Fi.
Card was automatically removed
For your security, when you remove the screen lock on your Fitbit device, it deletes any cards that you added to Google Wallet. To re-add a card:
- On your Fitbit device, open Google Wallet .
- Add a screen lock.
- Add your card again.

I changed phones
If you get a new phone or switch phones, you should:
- Install the Fitbit app on your new phone.
- Open Google Wallet from the Fitbit app.
Any cards you added to Google Wallet for Fitbit should appear.
