About linked & recommended passes in Google Wallet

Important: This feature is currently in beta and may not be available for all passes.

For easier organization and access, related passes may be linked together in Google Wallet. At this time, users can't link passes themselves.

Related passes can be linked to:

  • Boarding passes
  • Event tickets
  • Loyalty cards
  • Gift cards
  • Offers
  • Other non-private passes like library cards, auto-insurance cards, digital receipts

Items that can’t be linked include:

  • Payment cards like credit cards or debit cards
  • Private passes like drivers licenses or health insurance cards
  • Physical access passes like corporate badges, hotel keys, or campus IDs
  • Digital car keys

How to manage your linked passes setting

You can manage whether or not you want to receive linked passes through the Google Wallet settings screen. This setting is turned on by default, and you can turn it off at any time.

  1. On your phone, open the Google Wallet app .
  2. In the top right, tap your Profile picture or Account and then Wallet settings.
  3. Turn Automatically add linked passes on or off.

Why can’t I find linked passes?

The pass issuer may link passes. Not all issuers link passes. If your passes aren't linked, contact your pass issuer or merchant.

Find recommendations from pass issuers

Some passes may contain recommendations related to the pass. These recommendations appear under the pass and are used to provide additional info or opportunities related to your pass. For example, you may get the opportunity to upgrade your seat at an event.

Recommendations are defined and generated at the discretion of the pass issuer, including any requirements for payment or sharing additional info.
