For users in Taiwan that use a Xiaomi 14T or 14T Pro device, you can add iPASS as a payment method to your Google Wallet.
Add a virtual iPASS card
Important:
- At this time, only standard iPASS cards are supported. Co-branded iPASS cards aren’t supported.
- Your device can only hold one iPASS card at a time.
- On your device, open the Google Wallet app .
- At the bottom, tap Add to Wallet iPASS.
- Follow the on-screen instructions. You may be asked to complete these actions:
- Update to the latest version of the Wallet app.
- If this occurs, you’ll need to repeat steps 1-3.
- Set GPay as the default Payment app.
- Turn on NFC.
- Update to the latest version of the Wallet app.
Tip: After adding your iPASS card to the wallet, it is recommended that you register it. For unregistered cards, anyone can request your transaction history with the card number, posing a risk to your privacy. After registration, only those who log in to your account can view the transaction records, thus better protecting your privacy. Additionally, you can apply for a refund if your device is lost after registration. Learn how to register your iPASS card.
Add value to your iPASS card
Important: Cash is usually the only payment method accepted when you top up your iPass card.
You can add money to your iPASS card in convenience stores and metro stations.
- Go to a store, station, or other location that offers iPASS top up.
- Ask the cashier to add value to your iPASS card.
- Pay the balance with cash.
- When prompted, tap your phone to the card reader.
- Check your Google Wallet balance for the updated funds.
- If the balance doesn't update automatically, in the card details screen, tap the Update spinner or the Balance tile.
Delete a card
Important: Wallet doesn’t delete the card from the device if these situations occur:
- Uninstalling the Wallet app
- Signing out of your Google Account
You can only delete iPASS from Wallet if your balance is NT$0. If the balance is below or above, you won’t be able to delete the card until the balance is NT$0.
To delete a card:
- On your device, open the Google Wallet app .
- Tap the iPASS card.
- At the top right, tap More .
- At the bottom of the screen, tap Remove from Google Wallet.
Review transactions
Important: If multiple transactions occur in a short period of time, Google Wallet may not show all your transaction details.
Find the most recent iPASS transactions in your card’s transaction history in Google Wallet.
- On your device, open the Google Wallet app .
- Tap iPASS card Activity.
Protect a lost device
If your device is lost or stolen, contact iPASS for assistance. This only applies to registered iPASS cards. Learn how to register your iPASS card.
Common questions
How do I transfer my iPASS card when I get a new phone?Card transfers aren’t currently supported. Instead, we recommend you to use your iPASS balance or request a refund from iPASS and delete the card on your old device. You can then add a new iPASS card to your new device.
If you switch Wallet accounts, you'll temporarily lose access to your iPASS card. Each account on your device can only have one iPASS card linked to it. To find or use your iPASS card again, you'll need to switch back to the original Google Account associated with that card.
After a factory reset, you won’t be able to view nor use the iPASS card after you log into Wallet. You can add a new card, but you’ll lose the remaining balance from the previous card.
In these situations, we recommend you to:
- Use any remaining balance on your iPASS card or request a refund from iPASS.
- Delete the iPASS card from your Wallet before factory resetting your phone.
There’s a fee for a physical card purchase. However, virtual cards are currently at no charge to create during the promotion period. We’ll notify you through the Wallet app if there are any changes in the future.
