As an experienced Map Editor, once you reach the Map Editor Level needed to update a segment, you can also review edit suggestions from beginner map editors. Learn more about map editing levels.

Step 1: Review the suggestion
- Go to the Waze Map Editor
- Click
- Click ESs
- Select the edit suggestion you want to review
- Make sure the suggestion meets your local community guidelines. Check the local Wazeopedia for more information.
Step 2: Approve or reject the suggestion
Approve an edit suggestion
- Click Add and adjust
- Click Save
Reject an edit suggestion
- Click Reject. A pop-up window will appear.
- Select the relevant reason
- Send a message to the suggesting editor to give more info about why it was rejected
In your message, remember to:
- Be kind and helpful
- Use constructive criticism
- Never use hurtful language
FAQs
Why don't I see edit suggestions?
It might be because you need to adjust your settings. Make sure:
- The “Issues” layer is turned on
- The “ES (Edit suggestion)” map filter is turned on
Can I approve part of a suggestion?
No. Currently, you can only approve all of the information in a suggestion.
If a suggestion is mostly correct, you can approve it and make the required edit later. Otherwise, reject the suggestion.
