Add saved places

Save your favourite destinations on Waze so you can quickly route to them. You can also set your home address and work address if you haven't already.

Using Waze in your car? Disconnect your device and add or edit saved places on your phone. These changes will apply when you use Waze in your car.

Open Waze
Tap the search bar
Tap Saved
Tap Add a place
Enter the destination that you want to save
Tap the search icon on your mobile device's keyboard
Select the relevant destination
Enter a name for your saved place
Tap Done

Edit a saved place

There's no way to edit the address of a saved place. To edit the address, you'll need to delete the saved place and add it again. You can, however, edit the name of a saved place.

Open Waze
Tap the search bar
Tap Saved
Tap next to the saved place that you'd like to edit
Tap Rename
Enter a name for your saved place
Tap Done

Delete a saved place

Open Waze
Tap the search bar
Tap Saved
Tap next to the saved place that you'd like to delete
Tap Remove

How can I add a recent location as a saved place?

Open Waze
Swipe up
Long tap the address that you want to save
Tap Info
Tap Save
Enter a name for your saved place
Tap Done

How can I add a saved place from the map?

Open Waze
Tap your destination on the map and hold until you see
Tap
Tap Preview location
Tap Save
Enter a name for your saved place
Tap Done

I don't see my saved places. What should I do?

Make sure that you first connect an email address to your account and verify it. Then, follow these steps:

Delete Waze and reinstall it
Log in with your credentials

Your saved places should now reappear.

How do I transfer my saved places to a new device?

When you switch to a new device, make sure that you connect an email address and verify it so that your saved places transfer over.

Once you do, you can view your saved places:

Open Waze on your new device
Tap Log in
Enter the email address connected to your Waze account
Follow the instructions to log in

Note: While your saved places transfer between devices, your recent locations do not.
