Turn on invisible mode to keep your username, mood, and photo hidden from other users.
- Open Waze
- Tap
- Tap View profile, below your name
- Turn on "Go invisible"
After a few minutes, your details won't show on the map and you'll appear offline to your friends.
Note: When invisible, you can't send reports, add or edit places on the map, or send messages to friends and other Wazers.

Go invisible on the map on CarPlay
Disconnect your phone from your in-car system and turn on invisible mode on your phone. It'll apply when you use Waze in your car.

How do I turn off invisible mode?
Waze automatically turns on invisible mode for users under 18. Only users over the age of 18 can turn off this function. To turn off invisible mode:
- Open Waze
- Tap
- Tap View profile, below your name
- Turn off "Go invisible"
