Submit debug logs

When you report an issue, our support team may ask you to send your debug logs to get more information. Learn more about debug logs.

Note: Debug mode is turned on automatically for Beta users. If you're a Beta user, skip to step 2.

Step 1: Turn on debug mode

  1. Open Waze
  2. Tap the search bar
  3. Type 2##2
  4. Tap the magnifying glass on your phone's keyboard
  5. Close Waze

Step 2: Send your debug logs

  1. Open Waze
  2. Do the same thing in the app that didn’t work for you. Take a screenshot if you can.
  3. Tap
  4. Tap Debug
  5. Tap Yes and wait for a confirmation message

Step 3: Exit debug mode

  1. Tap the search bar
  2. Type 2##2
  3. Tap the magnifying glass on your phone's keyboard
  4. In the message that appears, tap OK

Android Auto

Submit debug logs on Android Auto

Step 1: Turn on debug mode

  1. Disconnect your device from your Android Auto unit
  2. Open Waze on your phone
  3. Tap the search bar
  4. Type 2##2
  5. Tap the magnifying glass on your phone's keyboard
  6. In the message that appears, tap OK

Step 2: Send your debug logs

  1. Connect your phone to your Android Auto unit
  2. Do the same thing in the app that didn’t work for you. Take a screenshot if you can.
  3. Disconnect your device from your Android Auto unit
  4. Open Waze on your phone
  5. Tap 
  6. Scroll down and tap Debug
  7. Tap Yes and wait for a confirmation message

Android Automotive (AAOS)

Submit debug logs on AAOS

Step 1: Turn on debug mode

  1. Open Waze on your in-car unit
  2. Tap the search bar
  3. Type 2##2
  4. Tap the magnifying glass on the keyboard
  5. In the message that appears, tap OK

Step 2: Send your debug logs

  1. Do the same thing in the app that didn’t work for you. Take a screenshot if you can.
  2. Tap 
  3. Tap Debug
  4. Tap Yes and wait for a confirmation message

CarPlay

Submit debug logs on CarPlay

Step 1: Turn on debug mode 

  1. Disconnect your phone from your CarPlay unit
  2. Open Waze on your phone
  3. Tap the search bar
  4. Type 2##2
  5. Tap the return button on your phone's keyboard
  6. In the message that appears, tap OK

Step 2: Send your debug logs

  1. Open Waze on your CarPlay unit
  2. Do the same thing in the app that didn’t work for you. Take a screenshot if you can.
  3. Tap 
  4. Tap Debug
  5. Tap Close
