View a route in steps

Waze automatically shows your route on the map when navigating. If you prefer written steps, follow these instructions.

1. Open Waze
2. Search for your destination
3. Tap your destination
4. Tap View routes if you're navigating to a new destination
   Tip: Swipe up to view alternative routes, if available.
5. Select your preferred route
6. Tap Go now to start your navigation, or tap Leave later to plan a drive
7. Tap the top of the screen. Your directions will appear as a list.
8. To return to the map, tap the top of the screen again
