-
Personalise your ads: This makes the ads that you see more relevant and useful to you based on your information. When turned off, you'll still see ads, but they'll be less relevant. Please bear in mind that Waze doesn't sell your personal information. For more info, read our privacy policy ('Advertising campaigns' section).
-
Go invisible: Your username, mood, points and more may be displayed publicly on the map. Friends may also see your name and photo. Don’t want to appear on the map? Go invisible.
-
Navigation history: When you navigate to a location or check the ETA of a location, it will appear in your navigation history. You can delete a drive or your entire navigation history at any time.
-
Recent locations: When you start navigation or check the ETA of a location, it’s saved as a recent location. You can remove a recent location at any time.
-
Account information: Control your account and sign-in details in one place. You can delete your Waze account at any time.
Note: Deleting your account removes your saved places and navigation history. Information that you've contributed to Waze (like map edits and statistical drive data) won't be removed, but it will no longer be linked to you.

Using Waze in your car? Adjust your settings on your phone. They'll apply when you use Waze in your car. If you're using Android Auto or CarPlay, make sure that you disconnect your phone first.
Location always on
Depending on your settings, Waze can check your location even when you’re not using the app to get reminders for planned drives, updates about bad traffic, parking assistance and more. You can adjust this setting on your Android or iOS device.
