- Open the Waze app on your phone or tablet

- Enter your email ID or username or log in with your Google Account
- Follow the instructions to log in

Log in to your Waze account on Android Auto
Disconnect your phone from your in-car system and log in to your account on your phone. You can then access this account when you use Waze in your car.

Log in to your Waze account on AAOS
First, make sure that you have the latest version of the Waze app on your phone, then:
- On your in-car display, open Waze
- With your phone, scan the QR code
- On your phone, tap Yes, it's me
CarPlay
Log in to your Waze account on CarPlay
Disconnect your phone from your in-car system and log in to your account on your phone. You can then access this account when you use Waze in your car.

Why can't I log in to my account?
- There aren't any typos in your email address
- You've entered your full email address – for example, '[email protected]' instead of 'username@gmail'
- Your caps lock is turned off
- Your keyboard is in the right language
Note: If your email inbox is on another device than the one you're using to log in, do the following:
- Open your inbox from a web browser
- Open the verification email and tap Verify email. A new tab will open with a verification code.
- In Waze, enter the code

Try one of these options:
- Log in with another email that isn't your main account
- If you added a username and password to your account, try entering them instead
- If you forgot your password, learn how to reset it
- Consider creating a new Waze account
Why didn't I get a verification email?
If you didn’t get a verification email, try the following:
- Make sure that there aren’t any typos in your email address
- Make sure that you’ve entered your full email address – for example, '[email protected]' instead of 'username@gmail'
- Make sure that you’re in the inbox of the correct email address
- Check your email’s spam folder for the verification code
- Search for '[email protected]' in your inbox
Note: If your email inbox is on another device than the one you're using to log in, do the following:
- Open your inbox from a web browser
- Open the verification email and tap Verify email. A new tab will open with a verification code.
- In Waze, enter the code

Option 1: Resend verification email
- Go back to Waze
- Tap Having trouble?
- Tap Resend verification email
Using email on your mobile device?
- Go to your inbox
- Open the verification email
- Tap Verify email
Note: You'll be taken back to the Waze app automatically.
Using email on a web browser?
- Go to your inbox
- Open the verification email
- Click Verify email. A new browser will open with the code.
- Enter the code in Waze
Option 2: Log in with a guest account for now
- Go back to Waze
- Tap Having trouble?
- Tap Continue as guest
Note: Continuing as a guest is a great option if you’re having trouble logging in, but need to use Waze now. However, to create your own personalisable account that you can recover if anything happens, you must verify your email. When you have time later, register your guest account by verifying your email.
Why doesn't the email have a verification code?
When you open the email on your phone, you should be taken to the Waze app automatically, with no need to enter a code. If you're using email on your computer, the code should appear in the body of the email.
Let's try again:
- Open Waze on your mobile device
- Tap Log in
- Enter your email address
- Tap Next

- Tap Verify email

Why do I need to choose between two accounts?
If the email address that you entered is already associated with an existing Waze account, you'll be given the option to choose between two accounts. To continue, you must choose only one account. The other account will be deleted, including:
Note: You can't merge accounts or recover deleted accounts.
Why can't I log in with Facebook or my phone number?
As of June 2020, you can no longer log in to Waze with your phone number or with your Facebook account. You can log in to Waze with:
- Your email address
- Your Waze username and Waze password
- Your Google Account
If you didn't add an email, you'll need to create a new Waze account:
- Go back to the screen with the Get started button
- Tap Get started
