As a Beta tester, you're free to download and use Beta and RC versions.
Before downloading, please read the version Release Notes, which explain what’s new in each version, including features, bug updates, UI changes and more.
Download Waze Beta and RC versions
On iOS
For iOS users, Beta and RC versions are downloaded through Apple's Beta app - TestFlight.

After joining the Beta community, you should get an invitation email for TestFlight in up to 7 days. Please accept it.

Please enable automatic updates so Beta and RC versions can download to your device when they're released. You will get an email whenever a new version is available!
Every time a new Beta or RC version becomes available, you’ll receive a notification containing a direct link to the version's download page in TestFlight.
You can also check the Releases section in Waze Discuss for a new version at any time.

First time installing a beta version?
a) Please make sure your device has Developer options enabled:

Go to your phone's Settings, scroll down and tap "About phone".

Scroll down to the bottom again, where you see "Build number".
- Tap on "Build number" seven (7) times to turn Developer Mode on.
If these steps didn't enable developer options on your device, we encourage you to look up the process online, since it may vary between models and manufacturers.
b) Opt-in to Waze's Beta channel on Google Play by opening this link from your mobile testing device
Download a beta or RC version:
Once a new version is available you’ll receive an email from the Waze Beta team and the version will be downloaded automatically within a few hours.
