Make and receive calls on your cellular watch

If you have a cellular watch, you can make and receive calls right on your watch.

What you need

  1. Cellular service for your phone
  2. SIM card for your watch
  3. Cellular service for your watch

Check if you have a cellular watch

  1. On your watch, tap Settings Settings and then System and then  Date & time.
  2. Go to Settings Settings and then Connectivity, then look for Cellular.

If you don't see a Cellular setting, your watch does not support cellular service. For more info about getting service for your watch, check with your carrier. If you use the same carrier for watch and phone cellular service, your carrier might offer the ability to share a single number between your phone and your watch.

Make a call

If you're out of Bluetooth range of your phone, the calls you make from your watch use your watch's number.

If your watch is within Bluetooth range of your phone, you can choose to make your call from either your watch's number or your phone's number.

Make a call with your voice

  1. On your watch, say “Ok Google” or long press the Assistant button.

  3. Dial 911 if you're in the United States, or other local emergency number.

It is possible to send an emergency text message to 911 with the voice action “OK Google, send a text to 911.” However, since voice transcription is not 100% accurate, we strongly recommend that you simply call 911 instead during a real emergency situation.
