When your watch and phone aren’t connected, you’ll see Disconnected . If they won’t stay connected, try the steps below.

Important: The steps below are for Wear OS and may vary based on your manufacturer, device and software version.
Fix your device connection
First, move your watch and phone closer together.
If that step doesn't work, try the steps below until you fix the issue.
- On your Android phone, open the Settings app .
- Tap Connected Devices Bluetooth.
- Check that Bluetooth is turned on.
- If your screen is dim, tap it to wake up the watch.
- From the top of the screen, swipe down.
- Tap Settings .
- On some watches, you need to swipe left to find this option.
- Tap Connections.
- Wear 2: Tap Connectivity.
- If you don't find this option, skip this step.
- Scroll until you find Aeroplane mode.
- Check if Aeroplane mode is turned off.
Wear 3
- From the top of your screen, swipe down.
- Tap Restart.
Wear 2
- If your screen is dim, tap it to wake up the watch.
- From the top of your screen, swipe down.
- Tap Settings .
- On some watches, you need to swipe left to find this option.
- Tap System.
- Scroll and tap Restart Done .
- Restart your Android phone.
If the steps above didn’t work, try the steps below.
Note: When you reset your watch to factory settings, all apps, settings and data on your watch are erased.
Disconnect your watch from the Wear OS app

On your phone, open the Wear OS app or the companion app for your device.
Tip: If you use the companion app for your device, follow their instructions.
- At the bottom, tap Advanced settings Forget watch.
- To confirm, tap Forget watch.
Remove your watch from Bluetooth memory
- On your phone, open the Settings app .
- Tap Connected devices Previously connected devices.
- Tap the name of the watch that you want to remove.
- If you don't find your watch, skip this step.
- Tap Settings Forget Forget device.
Reset your watch to factory settings
- If your screen is dim, tap it to wake up the watch.
- From the top of the screen, swipe down. Tap Settings System.
- On some watches, you need to swipe left to find this option.
- Scroll down and tap Disconnect and reset .
- If you don't find this option, tap Unpair with phone .
- To confirm, tap Done .
Set up your watch and phone again

On your phone, open the Wear OS app or the companion app for your device.
Tip: If you use the companion app for your device, follow their instructions.
- At the top of the screen, tap the name of your watch Add a new watch.
- To finish setting up your watch, follow the on-screen instructions.
