Important: To analyze the language, grammar check uses AI systems and might not be 100% accurate, especially with partial sentences.

You can use Google’s grammar check feature to check if a phrase or sentence is written in a grammatically correct way or how to correct it, if not.

How to use grammar check on Search

You're likely to get a grammar check result when you include "grammar check" in your search or if Search understands that you want a grammar check.

Tip: This feature is only available in English.

The output provided by grammar check verifies if grammar is correct. If not, it indicates how to correct the phrase or sentence. It can also correct spelling mistakes.

Policies for grammar check on Search

To make sure these are helpful grammar checks for everyone, we have systems in place to prevent grammar checks when the content might be in violation of Google Search’s overall policies or these policies for Search features:

  • Dangerous content
  • Harassing content
  • Hateful content
  • Medical content
  • Sexually explicit content
  • Terrorist content
  • Violence and gore
  • Vulgar language and profanity

Share your feedback with Grammar Check

To submit feedback on the grammar check result:

  1. On the bottom right of the grammar check results box, click Feedback.
  2. Select one of the following:
    • This is helpful.
    • This isn't relevant.
    • Suggestion is incorrect.
    • Suggestion is offensive.
  3. In the text box, you may enter your comments or suggestions.
  4. On the bottom right, click Send.
