Zero-touch enrollment expanded availability

Zero-touch enrollment is now available on Android 9.0+ devices. With this update, recent devices — including Samsung devices — will support zero-touch. If you’re deploying Samsung devices you can now choose between two services: Samsung Knox Mobile Enrollment or zero-touch, depending on your needs and preferences. Learn more about it on our blog post.

Availability: Available via zero-touch enrollment resellers. Contact your reseller to begin enrolling new and existing devices. If your current device reseller does not offer zero-touch enrollment, direct them to the Android Enterprise Partner program, where they may apply.

Install apps remotely on managed devices or work profile from the web

Google Workspace and Google Cloud Identity users can now install apps remotely on their managed devices or work profile by visiting the Google Play website. Previously managed devices and work profiles were not visible on the Google Play website. Note that users can only install apps allowed by their IT administrator.

To install an app:

  1. Sign in on the Google Play website with your Google Workspace account.
  2. Select an app.
  3. Click Install.
  4. Select one of your managed devices or work profiles.

Availability: Available to all Google Workspace and Google Cloud Identity users directly, with no action required from their IT administrator or EMM. Note that his feature is not available to other users since they cannot sign in to the Google Play website.
