Monetize Shorts as a rights holder

These features are only available to partners who use YouTube Studio Content Manager who accept new terms.

To monetize a Short as a rights holder, a Short needs to have an active upload claim created and have a monetization upload policy applied.

If you uploaded a three-minute video before October 15, 2024 and want to monetize it as a Short, make sure there is an active first-party claim on a video. Three-minute Shorts uploaded after October 15, 2024 can monetize in the Shorts revenue sharing model. Learn more about three-minute Shorts.

Before you begin creating claims, make sure you understand and adhere to the YouTube Shorts monetization policies.
