Troubleshoot issues using your asset history

Use your asset history to troubleshoot issues related to your assets and claims. Find common issues and solutions detailed below.

Issue Troubleshooting steps
Claimed video not monetizing for a given period of time Use the History tab to check for policy and ownership changes on the asset. Monetization might be impacted if:
  • The asset did not have a monetization policy
  • The asset had an ownership conflict
Missing data in YouTube Analytics Identify the timeframe when the data went missing. Then, use the History tab to check for ownership changes around that time. If you didn’t have ownership at that time, the asset will not appear in your Analytics.
Wrong asset metadata Use the History tab to determine who delivered the metadata, and whether it’s up-to-date. Redeliver metadata if necessary.
