Verify your address with PIN in AdSense for YouTube

If you're in the YouTube Partner Programme, we'll ask you to verify your identity and address when your earnings hit the verification threshold. Before you hit the verification threshold, make sure that the payment name and address in your AdSense for YouTube account are correct.

How to verify your address

1. Enter your payment address

When you activate your AdSense for YouTube account, enter your payment address.

2. Reach the verification threshold and verify your identity

When your earnings reach the verification threshold and you successfully verify your identity, we'll send a unique six-digit personal identity number (PIN) to your payment address via international standard post. We don't provide a tracking number for the PIN letter, so make sure that your payment address can get standard post.

  • Note: If we've asked you to verify your identity, we won't send your PIN until after you've successfully completed identity verification.

3. Wait for your PIN

It usually takes three to four weeks for your PIN letter to arrive. If you don't get your PIN letter in three to four weeks, you can request a replacement PIN.

4. Verify your address

You have four months from the date that your PIN is generated to complete address verification. When you get your PIN letter, verify your payment address immediately:

  1. Sign in to your AdSense for YouTube account.
  2. Click Payments and then Verification check.
  3. Enter the PIN exactly as it appears in your PIN letter. If you enter your PIN incorrectly three times, your channel will be demonetised. If you need to reset your PIN verification limit, you can request a replacement PIN.
  4. Click Submit.

Your payment address is now verified. You'll get paid when your account balance reaches the payment threshold, as long as there are no holds on your account and you're in compliance with the AdSense Terms and Conditions or the AdSense for YouTube Terms and Conditions (whichever is applicable).

Note: If you haven't verified your payment address after four months, your channel will be demonetised.

FAQs

Fraudulent activity has been associated with my address and I can't verify my address. What should I do?

If your address has been associated with fraudulent activity, you'll need to change your payment address to a new, valid postal address that can get your PIN. Your new address must be different from your previous one. If you can't provide a valid payment address, your channel will be demonetised.

After your new address is verified, you can request a PIN:

  1. Sign in to your AdSense for YouTube account.
  2. Click Payments and then Verification check.
  3. Click Resend PIN.

Why haven't I received my PIN letter?

If your PIN hasn't arrived after three to four weeks, review Problems with your address verification (PIN) for possible reasons and troubleshooting help.

I've requested the fourth replacement PIN letter and still haven't got it after three weeks. What should I do?

If you've requested the fourth replacement PIN letter and you still haven't got it after three to four weeks, go to our PIN troubleshooter.

My address verification failed, what should I do?

If you enter your PIN incorrectly three times, you will fail the address verification and your account will be demonetised. To reset your PIN verification limit, request a replacement PIN.

I haven't passed address verification after four months and my channel has been demonetised. What should I do?

If you haven't successfully verified your payment address after four months, we'll demonetise your channel. To extend your address verification timeline, you can contact us for help.
