Hype leaderboard on YouTube

The Hype leaderboard shows videos from up and coming creators that have been uploaded within the last 7 days and endorsed by fans. When viewers show extra love to creators by hyping their new videos, the videos are given points and YouTube automatically applies bonus points depending on the creator’s subscriber count. The less subscribers a creator has, the more bonus points are applied to each hype. Videos with the most points are added to a leaderboard so viewers can find the freshest content that others have endorsed with a hype. With bonus points based on a creator’s subscriber count, eligible creators of all sizes have the chance to reach the top of the leaderboard.

The leaderboard isn't personalized and displays the same list of videos to all viewers in the same country. The list of most hyped videos is updated roughly every 30 minutes. With each update, videos may move up, down, or stay in the same position in the list.
