Your viewers can hype your videos to show their excitement for your content and help your channel get discovered by new audiences. Learn how to turn on and manage your hyped videos.
How does hyping a video work
When a video is hyped, hyped points are immediately applied to the video. Videos with the most hype points each week appear on a country-specific leaderboard that’s ranked by top hyped videos from the viewers in that country. Also, top hyped videos appear throughout the YouTube app with a special “Hyped” badge for the first 7 days.
Your viewers can hype a limited number of times at no cost for a specific video that has been published in the last 7 days. They can also pay to hype a video even more in certain locations.

Additional information
We are gradually rolling out the option to hype a video. As we are developing the functionality, we want the option to hype a video to support content that is appropriate for all audiences. Accordingly, we reserve the right to revise our policies as necessary and to remove the option to hype from channels and remove content that violates our policies from the leaderboard.
