Are you having any of these common issues?
- I'm getting notifications from channels and recommendations I'm not subscribed to.
- I don't want to get notifications from my subscribed channels.
- I used to not get notifications and now I do.
- I don't want push notifications but they show up on the YouTube app or my computer.
- I don't want any notifications, period.
- I don't want notifications from my Chrome browser (computer only).
- I don't want email notifications (computer only).
For help, check the settings below.
Check the account you're signed in to
- Go to your profile picture .
- You'll see which account you're signed in to. You should be signed in to the account with the notifications you want to change.
- If it’s a different account, tap Switch account and choose the correct one.
- If the account isn’t listed, tap Add Account .
Check your app notification settings
- Go to your profile picture .
- Tap Settings .
- Tap Notifications, then tap Notifications are turned off.
- Your device settings will open. Tap Notifications and tap the switch on or off next to Allow Notifications.
- Open the YouTube app again to edit the type of notifications you see.
Check your channel settings
- At the bottom, tap Subscriptions .
- At the top right, tap All.
- Tap Manage.
- At the right of each channel, tap .
- Tap None .
- Tap Done.
Check that the bell is off, but remember that you may still get recommended notifications . If you don't want recommended notifications:
- Go to your profile picture .
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Notifications.
- Tap Subscriptions to turn off notifications.
Check your device settings
- Open your device's Settings app.
- Tap Notifications tap YouTube .
- Next to Allow Notifications, tap the slider to turn off notifications.
