The Android Beta Program is open to all Android app developers or any user with an Android device. As a YouTube beta tester, you can use the YouTube app normally. This will help us improve and stabilize YouTube for all users and creators.
How to opt-in
To become a YouTube Android beta tester:
- Go to the beta testing program’s opt in page (You might have to sign in to your Google Account).
- Choose Become a tester.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to start using the beta version.
How to opt-out
To stop being a YouTube Android beta tester:
- Go to the beta testing program’s opt out page (You may have to sign in to your Google Account).
- Choose Leave the program.
Note: If you leave the program, you might have to update your YouTube app to use the regular version.
