Sports on YouTube

In some cases, you can watch exclusive live sports content on YouTube. You don't need to have a YouTube account to watch, and featured content is available on YouTube on all of your devices.

You can browse popular sports content by going to the sports destination page.

Example: Major League Baseball (MLB) games on YouTube

For the 2022 MLB season, you can watch 21 games on YouTube, and on YouTube TV in the US (if you're a YouTube TV member). Below are different ways to watch.

Tip: On YouTube, you can select a specific radio broadcast (home or away) while watching a game by going to settings in the video player:

In a web browser: Go to Settings in the video player Audio Track.
In the YouTube mobile app: Go to Settings in the video player Additional settings Audio.
In the YouTube app on your TV: Go to More in the video player Audio tracks.

From there, set the track to Home or Away, depending which stream you’d like to get while you watch the game. You can also choose Primary to get the primary broadcast audio stream provided by YouTube.

Watch MLB games in the YouTube mobile app

Open the YouTube app.
Search for “MLB.”
Tap the MLB YouTube channel.
If a game is on, tap the game thumbnail to watch live.
If a game is upcoming, tap the game thumbnail Set Reminder to get a notification when the game is live.

You can also watch on the big screen using a Chromecast device by tapping the Chromecast icon .

Watch MLB games in the YouTube app on your TV

Open the YouTube app.
Search for “MLB.”
Select the MLB YouTube channel.
If a game is on, tap the game thumbnail to watch live.

Watch MLB games on YouTube.com

Go to youtube.com/mlb on a web browser.
If a game is on, click the game thumbnail to watch live.
If a game is upcoming, click Set Reminder to get a notification when the game is live.

Watch MLB games on YouTube TV (members only)

If you’re a YouTube TV member, you can watch MLB games live on YouTube TV. You can view these games from anywhere in the US on one of our supported devices. Learn how to watch YouTube TV on your TV, or how to cast to your TV. There are no viewing restrictions for YouTube TV viewers in the US.

Here's how to watch:

Open the YouTube TV app, or visit tv.youtube.com on a web browser.
Search "MLB" and either check out "Live & Upcoming games," or Schedule on the MLB league page.
When games air, you’ll see them on a unique “MLB Game of the Week” channel on the Live tab.
